This mobile phone is one tough cookie

Sonim already had the XP1 on the market, which was about as rugged as you could get when it comes to mobile phones. However they have now released a new generation that takes ruggedness to a whole new level – the XP3 (they didn’t even bother with an XP2!).
The new XP3 can withstand drops, bangs and scrapes to a greater degree than its forebear but can take all sorts of other much harsher treatment at the same time. It can take being fully submerged in a meter of water for up to half an hour, it has an IP-57 endurance rating, an 810F Mil-Spec rating against salt, fog humidity, transport and thermal shock, and the buttons are tested to more than 500,000 presses. It will work at temperatures of -20C to +60C and the battery will last for 5.5 hours talking or 9 days on standby.
You can get hold of the Sonim XP3 for £245 sim free or from nothing on a contract.
